- Variations: If mini peanut butter cups and Reese’s Pieces aren’t your thing, try other peanut-flavoured candies. Add some chopped peanuts or use crunchy peanut butter for extra crunch. Why not try topping these squares with a drizzle of Chocolate Sauce or some Peanut Butter Cup Ganache?
- Tools You’ll Need: A 9×13 pan, parchment paper, a large bowl, and a large pot.

What You’ll Need For Ingredients
Rice Krispies: Any crispy rice cereal.
Marshmallows: White or rainbow, big or small, maple or plain. Whatever you’d like.
Peanut Butter: Smooth, crunchy, dark roast, etc.
Butter: salted butter or margarine.
Peanut Butter Candies: Mini peanut butter cups, Reese’s Pieces, or whatever you personally enjoy.


How To Make Loaded Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Squares

- Grease 9×13 pan with butter or line it with parchment paper. Grease a large bowl with butter and add Rice Krispies and 2/3 of the candies.
- Melt butter in a large pot, stir in marshmallows until they start to melt, and add peanut butter and stir until everything is melted and combined. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
- Pour hot mixture over the dry cereal and candies in the bowl. Mix everything together gently and then dump it into the greased pan. Top with the rest of the candies. Press down with greased hands.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 30-40 minutes until it’s firm enough to cut.


Storage Instructions
Fridge: You can keep these covered in the fridge if you prefer chilled Rice Krispy Squares, but they are fine out at room temperature too.
Freezer: Once these are fully set and cut into squares, put them in a freezer safe bag or container and keep them in the freezer for several months.

Loaded Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Squares
Ingredients
Dry Cereal Mixture
- 10 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup Reese’s Pieces
- 1 cup mini peanut butter cups, sliced in half
Marshmallow Mixture
- 400 grams mini marshmallows, (about 8 cups)
- ¼ cup salted butter
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 pan with butter or line with parchment paper.
- Grease a large bowl with butter and place the Rice Krispies in the bowl. Add in 2/3 of the Reese’s pieces and the peanut butter cups, saving the remainder for topping later.
- Place the butter in a large saucepan and melt over low heat.
- Stir in the marshmallows. Once the marshmallows start to melt, add in the peanut butter.
- Stir until the marshmallows are melted and the peanut butter is mixed in completely.
- Remove from the heat and mix in the vanilla.
- Pour the hot mixture over top of the cereal and chocolates, then stir until combined.
- Turn out the mixture into the prepared 9×13 dish. Sprinkle the remaining peanut butter candy on top.
- Butter your hands and press the cereal mixture into the pan making it an even layer.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let set for 30-40 minutes then slice and serve.
