Do you consider the cake part of a cupcake just the holder for the icing? Do you think that the best part of ice cream cakes is the weird frosting they put on top (and there is never enough of it)?
If you answered yes, my friend, my new Death by Chocolate Dip is for YOU.
Why You Will LOVE This Dessert Dip!
- This is a brand new, one-of-a-kind recipe I created while trying to figure out my ultimate dessert dip. This is it. This is what I want to eat as a dessert dip.
- It’s no-bake, only a few ingredients, and is beyond perfect for entertaining.
- It’s like eating the best icing from a spoon but with a cookie.
Death By Chocolate Dessert Dip
The holiday season is the best time for dessert dips – although an argument can be made for the summer months with potlucks and picnics. It’s a large recipe for a crowd and plates up perfectly for entertaining.
Ingredients for Death by Chocolate Dessert Dip
This dessert dip has only seven ingredients, all of which are decadent and perfect for scooping up with chocolate cookies or shortbread.
- cream cheese
- chocolate frosting
- chocolate milk
- instant coffee granules
- instant chocolate pudding mix
- brownie bites
- Heath or Skor chocolate bar
- cookies and biscuits for serving
Make This Ahead of Time
This is best when made ahead of time, as the ingredients can set and firm up, making the dip the right consistency. However, this shouldn’t be made earlier than the night before you need to serve the dip, as the ingredients can start to separate after too long in the fridge.
If you have leftovers, you can refrigerate them for up to 2 days. If they separate, simply whisk them together, then enjoy them as a dip once again.
Ingredient Tips
Some of the ingredients come in packages of different sizes in different countries. Use ones that are as close to what I have listed as possible.
The pudding is INSTANT; do not use pudding mix that has to be cooked.
I did not use whipped frosting; I used the normal creamy one.
This has not been tested with low-fat cream cheese.
Let me know in the comments below if you made it!
Enjoy!

I love the ceramic Christmas tree in your photo! My mom had one when I was growing up. Dip looks amazing too!
