Ok so I have a problem with going overboard with desserts but these are delicious so it’s worth it, trust me! These Oreo cereal bars have three different types of Oreo cookies in them. Prepare for a chocolate overload!

Karlynn’s Recipe Rundown: Minty Chocolate Oreo Cereal Bars

  • These minty chocolate Oreo cereal bars use no less than THREE different Oreo flavors; birthday cake, chocolate covered and mint.
  • They also use the new Oreo cereal (I was inspired by the cereal aisle, I can admit it).
  • Add in marshmallows and you have one chocolate overload in bar form. Enjoy!

Quick Recipe Summary: How to Make Minty Chocolate Oreo Bars

  1. Grease a 9×13 pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Grease the inside of a large mixing bowl with butter, then add the cereal and cookies.
  3. Melt the marshmallows in butter and pour over the cereal and cookies.
  4. Press into the pan firmly to ensure the mixture reaches the edges of the pan.
  5. Cover and let sit for an hour until everything sets.
  6. Slice and serve.

Ingredients Tips You Need To Know

Oreo Puffs: You can find this in the cereal aisle. I didn’t even know these existed until I happened across them and this recipe popped into my head.

Oreo Cookies: These come in so many flavors, it was hard to choose but I went with birthday cake, chocolate covered and mint but feel free to mix and match to your tastes!

Storage Instructions

How to freeze: After the bars have set, slice them and place them in a large freezer-safe container or freezer bag. Freeze them in your deep freezer for up to 3 months.

Store these bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

Do not refrigerate as they will harden.

Your kids must feel so lucky to be your taste testers!

NICE! I might have to steal your idea lol!

  3. Candace Calkins says

Krave is pretty popular in our house. Chocolate Cheerios are surprisingly good too. I like to make what I call Garbage Bars. Whatever’s in the cupboard that the kids wouldn’t eat, or those annoying boxes with like a half a serving left, that’s how I get rid of it.

  4. The Kitchen Magpie says

Yes, they do! What’s your favorite chocolate cereal? What’re you going to use for them?
