- Monday: The Best Slow Cooker Baked Ziti
- Tuesday: Classic Retro Porcupine Meatballs
- Wednesday: Classic American Goulash
- Thursday: Buttermilk Chicken
- Friday: Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese
Your Prep-Ahead Plan
- Chicken Marinate: If you plan ahead, you can allow more time for the chicken to marinate, allowing the flavors to develop and deepen. Once ready, keep in the freezer, but do not marinate beyond 24 hours.
- Ziti Sauce: You can prepare the base for the ziti’s meat sauce ahead of time so that once Monday comes, all you have to do is combine it with the other ingredients in the slow cooker. Make sure to store appropriately until it is needed.
- Ground Beef: While you’re preparing the ziti sauce, you might as well make and store the meat for the meatballs and the goulash if made within a reasonable timeframe.
P.S. Looking for lunch ideas?
This week offers plenty of fresh ideas for lunch or leftovers. The meatballs are ideal for reuse in a pasta dish or even a classic meatball sub. The chicken adds great flavour to a traditional chicken salad sandwich. Why not incorporate some vegetables into your diet by using the leftover goulash as stuffing for a fresh take on stuffed peppers?
Enjoy!
