Just like my original Bay Breeze recipe, this is another easy to make cocktail to enjoy on the deck over the summer. Especially if you are a fan of Malibu Rum.
How do you make a Malibu Bay Breeze?
Malibu Rum is hugely popular in our household and lots of Karlynn’s friends love it whenever I make a cocktail that uses it. It’s a delicious, sweet coconut rum liqueur that works perfectly in this cocktail. This is essentially just a riff on the Bay Breeze which I made the other day.
To prepare, gather up your Malibu Rum, Pineapple Juice and Cranberry Juice. You’ll also want something for a garnish. I used lime and cherry in this instance and it suits the drink well.
Combine the ingredients in a glass with ice and stir (or use a shaker if you prefer). Pour over ice and serve in a garnished glass. Note: if you like rum based drinks, try my Pineapple Prosecco Party Punch too!
The Glassware
The glass I used here isn’t labelled or marked in any way so I’m not sure what company produced it but what I do know is that it’s stunning! I love gold emblazoned glassware and this one is no exception. The sailboat and the intricacy of the gold make it a piece of art in my mind and I’m glad I found it. As with most of my glassware, you can often find them in antique malls, on Etsy or eBay.
Enjoy the drink!
Mike
