Karlynn’s Recipe Notes
- Skill Level: This is an easy pork chop recipe, yet it tastes much more elaborate.
- Total Time: Including preparation, marinating, and cooking time, these pork chops will take approximately an hour.
- Variations: If you’re not a fan of Dijon Mustard, you can always substitute it with stone-ground mustard or yellow mustard in a 1:1 ratio. Stone-ground will always give you a similar flavour that you’d achieve with Dijon, while yellow mustard is much milder.
- Tools for This Recipe: To make these, you will need a small bowl to create the marinade, a sealed container for marinating in the fridge, and a grill for cooking.

What You’ll Need For Ingredients
Pork Chops: one of the most versatile cuts of meat out there, easy to prepare and holds flavours well. Karlynn’s Tip: Resting meat is one of the most universally ignored steps in any cooking recipe, despite it being one of the most important. If you try cutting into your meat without giving it the proper resting time, all the flavorful juices will spill out onto the cutting board, leaving your meat dry and tasteless.
Hot Sauce: For those who don’t have a favourite hot sauce on hand and are unsure what to reach for, here are my recommendations, in order of spiciness from mild to melt-your-face-off hot: Frank’s Red Hot, Cholula Hot Sauce, and Dawson’s Original Hot Sauce.

- In a small bowl, combine the mustard, molasses, bourbon, hot sauce, and grated orange rind. Mix well.
- Marinate the pork chops in a sealed container in the fridge for 30-40 minutes.
- Remove from the marinade and grill for 15-25 minutes, turning once or twice, until the meat is cooked through. Ensure an internal temperature of 145ºF has been reached.
- Once they are cooked, remove the pork chops and place them on a plate, then cover them with foil. Let the pork rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your favourite salad or side dish of vegetables.

Storage Instructions
Grilled pork chops can absolutely be stored after cooking, but there are a few things to consider to prevent them from drying out.
Refrigerator: After they cool, I recommend transferring them into a shallow, airtight container or wrapping them tightly in plastic wrap to maintain their moistness. Consume within 3-4 days.
Freezer: When freezing, wrap each item individually and place it in a freezer-safe bag or container. They can be stored for up to 3 months. Thaw them overnight in the fridge before reheating.
