Exploring the Abandoned House

As you probably know by now if you’ve read my previous post, we purchased an Abandoned Homestead with 160 acres of land outside of Edmonton.

On this homestead are several buildings, one of which is an older home that was built in the early 70’s. Unfortunately, the home is not liveable given that it is infested with black mold and mice, however, the contents of the home when it was abandoned several years ago, are still inside.

If you know Karlynn and I, you know we are hardcore thrifters and pickers and love digging through things and since we wanted to share this experience with you folks, we decided to film our first foray into the abandoned house before we actively start pulling things out and filming the process of really digging in.

Here’s the first of many videos showcasing each of the buildings and their secrets. Why not come inside with us while we see what there is to see in the abandoned house?

BTW if you are wondering where I (Mr. Magpie) am at the time of this filming, I was ill with Covid, so Karlynn, her sister and the kids went out to film this while I quarantined in our basement until I got better.
