This past month’s Patak’s challenge saw the family and I heading to the movies! We went and saw the 100 Foot Journey (yes, the kids as well!) which has to be my favorite feel good movie of the summer. It’s the story of a family that moves from India to France and opens up a restaurant across from a Michelin starred restaurant.
I knew right away that I would enjoy this movie as it was food based, but it exceeded my expectations. Truth be told Mike wasn’t that interested in going but admitted afterward that he really enjoyed it. If you love food, cooking and funny, warm-hearted movies, this is seriously a must-see for you!
This month I also wanted to use up some of the endless bounty in my garden and tried carrots in my usual cauliflower curry. You can see the purple carrots right in there (which is weird, because they usually change color, but not the ones I grow apparently!) mixed in with the orange ones.
This is a really nice, simple easy curry to whip up for a vegetarian lunch during the day.
So if you are looking for ways to use up your garden bounty, I heartily suggest that you think about making some curries!! I will be digging up some potatoes next!
Happy back to school everyone! Are you all surviving this week?
Love,
Karlynn
