American colors on the wall

Some inspirational words and thoughts from school children at my kids open house at their school last week. Mike and I dropped the kids off at their rooms so they could fulfill their room host duties and wandered the school to read the quotes submitted  by parents and kids alike, on why they love their school. Note, those are not American colors above, the blues are actually purples that my camera hates to capture properly.

I only took pictures of the ones that students submitted, my favorites.

They ranged from the literal approach…

To the slightly more indepth….

…. thoughtful..

… sweet….

…to ones that make me fervently hope, that this child, whomever they are, never loses this feeling.

And ones that made my eyes tear up, standing right there in the hallway.

Happy Monday everyone, grab a paintbrush, or read a poem to your kids, spend an hour gluing buttons to random objects as a craft or entice your children to put on a puppet show (heck, or put one on for them!), listen to some classical composers this afternoon instead of your usual Top 40, whatever it is, embrace the arts today!

Culinary arts are also included 😉
