One of the easiest drinks you can make, the classic Vodka Soda is a great ‘summer on the patio’ cocktail just like the Midori Sour. Both are refreshing and take very little time to make.
How to Make a Vodka Soda
Believe it or not, plenty of people are not familiar with how easy it is to make a Vodka Soda. There are literally two ingredients plus the garnish but understanding the right measurements to use can be daunting for some.
A proper version requires adding 1 ounce of Vodka to 2-4 ounces of club soda (flavored club soda is also acceptable if desired). If you want to learn the differences between club soda, tonic and sparkling water, read this article.
Garnishes can vary between lemon or lime slices to raspberries. Realistically, because the drink does not have a prominent fruit taste to it (when served using normal club soda) you can garnish with any fruit you wish.
The Glassware
The glass you see above is one of my very rare Mardi Gras glasses (of which I have two different iterations) and was made by Culver Glass. It’s one of the best pieces in my collection and the Vodka Soda shows it off nicely given the drinks’ lack of color. That is actually real gold emblazoned on the glass, believe it or not.
Vodka Soda Calories
If you are doing a keto or low calorie diet, a Vodka Soda is a great choice. It’s incredibly low cal and rings in at only about 65 calories for the serving size mentioned here. There are also plenty of variations you can make, some of which will increase the calorie count but you can adjust as desired.
Some Variations
Here are a selection of variations you can use. As you can see, the drink is very versatile and the number of variations is pretty much endless. You can use almost any fruit combination but here are a few easy ideas to consider.

Hi Mike,
I like Vodka Soda. When I read it reminds me about that time when I with my friends share Vodka glass. I will definitely try it in my home.
