Downtown Dining Week in Edmonton

I read about the Downtown Dining week here in Edmonton last week, somewhere on the Edmonton Journal. I then popped over to the website, www.edmontontown.com to see what restaurants were taking part in this.

I scanned the list.

Picked up the phone and called my husband.

Screamed “Reservations. Hardware Grill. Babysitter for the 6th. STAT!”

Then hung up.

True love means that he did what I asked THEN called me back for clarification. That’s what happens after almost 11 years of marriage. He just knows. Or he’s scared of me, take your pick.

I was truly excited to go and see what their exclusive dinner was for $50 per person, what an excellent excuse reason to go.

The problem now, is that I don’t know where to go next. I want to go to them all, there are so many to try! I would encourage everyone to get out at least once this coming week, some of Edmonton’s finest dining establishments are taking part!

The Downtown Business Association Presents the 8th Annual Downtown Dining Week

Edmonton’s most creative chefs are sharpening their knives and ordering the finest
ingredients for their most inspired menus, all in preparation for the Downtown Business
Association’s 8th Annual Downtown Dining Week, March 4-13.

This event is a celebration of food and drink at the many exciting restaurants that thrive in the
heart of the city. For 10 days downtown’s best chefs from 32 restaurants will create delicious,
multi-course meals to tempt your taste buds and delight your senses – all for a fixed price of
$15, $25 or $50.

Diners can choose from a variety of mouth- watering treats to satisfy any craving, including
Pasta, Panini, Asian, French, Italian, Fusion and Tapas, in all types of settings — casual dining
establishments, pubs, cafes, family restaurants, chic modern bistros, and formal dining rooms.

Food lovers who dine at participating restaurants during Downtown Dining Week can enter to
win restaurant gift certificates, or the grand prize of a Gourmet Dinner for Four at Sabor Divino
with a Wine Tasting by deVine Wines and Spirits.
