Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
Cut in the butter with fork or pastry blender until the flour mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Pour the milk into the flour mixture making sure to keep on stirring with a fork so that clumps don't form as easily.
Mix in milk until the dough combines into a ball in the middle of the bowl.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Sprinkle the top of the dough with some flour to prevent the rolling pin from sticking when rolling out.
Roll out the dough out into a 1/2 inch thick sheet and then cut with a floured biscuit or cookie cutter., which are usually 2 or 2 1/2 inches wide.
Place the biscuits on ungreased baking sheets at least two inches apart from each other.
Bake in the preheated oven until nicely golden brown, about 10 minutes.
