one 2-3 pound pork shoulder or pork butt roaststringe removed
12ouncesroot beer
one 18 ounce bottle barbecue sauce your favorite
Instructions
Place the pork roast in a slow cooker. Pout the root beer over top and cook, covered, on low until meat is tender, around 8-10 hours.
Remove the roast and cool slightly.
Discard the roast cooking juices.
Shred the pork with two forks and then return to the slow cooker.
Stir in your favorite barbecue sauce.
Cover and heat again until heated through, about 30 minutes.
Use in pulled pork sandwiches, pulled pork nachos, in tacos and more!
Notes
You can use this meat for sandwiches and nachos!
Time really depends on your slow cooker. Older slow cookers seem to take longer while new slow cookers "low" is pretty hot! This could be done in 6-8 hours in a new cookerÂ
