Place the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Break up the ground beef into large chunks using a wooden spoon or a ground beef chopper ( a special utensil that you use to break up the ground beef)
Keep stirring and breaking the pieces into the same size so that the ground beef cooks evenly.
The ground beef should be cooked through with no pink areas and browned all over when done and takes around 7-10 minute for a pound of ground beef to cook. For safety the temperature should be 165 °F as well to ensure the meat is cooked completely.
Drain the grease from the ground beef and use the beef in your recipe.
Ground Beef With Onions and Garlic
Place the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Break up the ground beef into large chunks using a wooden spoon or a ground beef chopper ( a special utensil that you use to break up the ground beef)
Add in the chopped onion and cook until the ground beef is brown and cooked through an the onion is soft and translucent.
Add in the garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until the garlic is browned and fragrant.
Drain the grease from the ground beef and use the beef in your recipe.
Notes
If you have a fattier ground beef, skip using the oil in the recipe. You can also add the oil if you have a pan that isn't non-stick.
