Wash potatoes thoroughly and scrub to ensure skin is clean. Pat dry with paper towel to remove excess moisture (the most moisture, the longer they will take to air fry).
If your air fryer is the type that needs preheating, do it now, set to 400 °F.
Place the potatoes in a medium-sized bowl and drizzle the oil on top. Toss the potatoes in the oil until covered completely.
Rub each potato with sea salt to coat.
Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring that they aren't touching each other to allow for airflow and fry for 30 minutes at 400°F.
Flip the potatoes over usng tongs and fry for an additional 10-15 minutes. Test for doneness by poking with a fork. When the potatoes are easily pierced they are done.
Remove and serve.
Notes
Canola oil is a neutral-flavored oil. You can use olive oil, but know that it does get a slightly bitter taste when roasted.
