Hot pepperoni and melted cheese are baked into swirls in a loaf of white bread, sliced, and served warm. An excellent appetizer or snack the whole family will love!
Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet and set aside.
Place pepperoni slices onto a double thickness paper towel. Microwave for 20 seconds, then blot the excess grease off the top of the slices with another double thickness paper towel. Repeat until all slices are precooked slightly.
Whisk the egg with the garlic powder in a small bowl and set aside.
Roll the bread dough out into a 10x15 rectangle, with the dough about 1/4 inch thick.
Brush the dough with the beaten egg mixture.
Arrange the pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese over the dough in an even layer.
Sprinkle the the Italian seasoning over the toppings in an even layer.
Roll up the dough like a jelly roll, rolling from the smaller end, and pinch the dough together at the end seam to seal.
Place the roll seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the top and sides with the egg/garlic mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown on top and it sounds hollow when tapped.
Remove and cool for 10-15 minutes, then slice into 1/2 inch-1 inch thick rolls and serve warm with dipping bowls of marinara sauce.
Notes
You can dip this in your favorite dip, not just marinara! This is best eaten the day you make it.
