These banana waffles are the perfect weekend treat! A great way to use up overripe bananas for a delicious breakfast that will thrill everyone!

Ingredients

all-purpose flour

sugar

baking powder

baking soda

ground cinnamon
Pinch
of nutmeg

milk

ripe bananas mashed

oil

vanilla extract
Toppings
Whipped cream
freshly sliced bananas and syrup
Instructions
In a large bowl whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg together
In a large measuring cup or a medium bowl, (I prefer a nice large measuring cup) mix the milk, bananas, eggs, vegetable oil and vanilla extract.
Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour the wet in. Stir until thoroughly combined.
Follow the instructions of your specific waffle maker (eg, batter amount & time) to make the waffles.
Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle iron and close the lid.
Cook the waffles until they are golden brown and crisp.
Top with whipped cream, freshly sliced bananas and syrup.
Notes
The yield will depend on the size of your waffle maker. This recipe doubles well!
