Get the flour mixture ready

Combine the flour, salt and pepper in a bowl.

Add the beef to the bowl

Add the beef cubes to the bowl with the flour mixture.

Toss the cubes in flour.

Toss the beef cubes in the mixture until completely coated

Start frying

Fry the bacon in the dutch oven until crispy, then fry the beef in the bacon grease.  Remove beef, add onions and fry until soft.

Add remaining ingredients

Add the remaining ingredients, stirring until combined. Bring to a boil, reduce, cover and simmer for 2 hours.

Serve

Remove and serve over mashed potatoes.
