Gather the ingredients
This is a recipe I've perfected over two years. It requires: Ground beef, bacon, cheese, onion powder and an egg.
1
Combine & roll into a ball
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and form into 1/4 lb balls. Remember to lightly handle the mixture and not overwork it so it becomes mushy.
2
Place in a small container
My trick is to place the beef balls into a small plastic container about the size of a beef patty and press it into form with a potato masher to form a patty.
3
Press lightly into a patty
Push the ball into a patty form lightly without overdoing it. We don't want it to become mush.
4
Dump out the patty
Now dump the patty out of the container onto a plate or baking sheet, ready to go into the air fryer. You may have to tap the container to get it to fall out.
5
Place in air fryer
Place your patties, evenly spaced into the air fryer basket and close the air fryer.
6
Cook in the air fryer
Cook the burgers in the air fryer at 375 degrees Fahrenheit until they are cooked to safe temperature for meat (see our recipe for approximate times).
7
The finished burger patty
This is how the burgers should look when finished, providing the inside is cooked all the way through to the right temperature of course!
8
Add the cheese
Add cheese slices to the burgers and cook until melted (1 minute or so).
