Ooh, things, they are a growing!

Touch wood.

This is Alberta after all, and snow could happen at any time.

Or frost.

Or a random tornado.

Love this province.

But my watermelon does not. It’s tiny, and wants some heat please. It better heat up this summer, or I won’t be getting a single watermelon.

The cucumbers are happy though.

And I snuck in some carrots between the peppers, I bought the seeded strips so I could plant them perfectly between plants.

The strawberries in the flowerbeds, which aren’t exactly vegetables but are produce, are already producing strawberries and the kids are so excited to be picking them while playing in the backyard. I think I am going to sneak them into more places next year.

I started a few early but the late snowfall killed a lot of my vines, I had to restart them. My potatoes are crazy too, flowering already! I am hoping for some taters too and hope that all the growth isn’t on the top!

Looks beautiful! I’m so jealous, mine aren’t close to the point that yours are-do you start them inside really early? The green onions are ready to use, and we’ve been picking strawberries off the plants all week-I only bought 2 strawberries as I just wanted to know if I could grow them. I can, and they are good! Going to get a lot more plants next year. My potato plants are growing like weeds, I’d say they are about 3 ft high, and are now starting to flower-I just hope that there is as much growth underground!
