I was really sad today to learn that one of my favorite places in Disneyland is being remodeled to accommodate a larger Club 33 (the exclusive club in Disneyland). I had all these pictures edited to write a post about my favorite area in Disneyland, only to find out that it will be gone next time I am there.

The Court des Anges (Court of Angels) in Disneyland has been my favorite place since my very first trip there. Located in New Orleans Square, tucked away behind the hub bub and the shops, this picturesque place is somewhere I always to have visit at least once per trip.

A lot of Disney goers most likely had no idea of its existence and that’s shown to be true in the fact that every time we visit there, we were the only ones there, making for some great picture opportunities for our family.

The gorgeous staircase was located in the middle of a courtyard built to look like you were in the middle of New Orleans. I loved how quiet it was back there. It was always a peaceful place to sit, recharge and of course, take pictures.

Seeing how the location is now gone, I am extremely glad that I took pictures of the kids when we went in May 2013. They might have complained a bit, but I am really glad to have captured these.

These will also be nice memories for the kids as well, when they grow older, since they are Disney crazed like I am.

Well. This wasn’t the post I was originally going to write AT ALL. I was going to share my secret little spot at Disneyland with all of you, but instead I guess this is more of a bummer post. Dang it. I loved this spot.

On that note, Mike and I are headed to Anaheim in September! Oh my goodness, I am SO excited!

Disneyland with NO kids.

Listen. I love my children and I adore taking them to Disneyland. However Mike and I had so much fun checking out Disneyland Paris by ourselves that when we found out we were going to Las Vegas for a conference September 8th, we decided to make a road trip out of it and head to Disneyland after the conference!

I’m still sad, however, that this spot isn’t there anymore. Mike and I don’t have a picture there. Sigh.

I’ll cheer myself up with the fact that it’s about three weeks until Disneyland!

Love,

Karlynn

  1. The Kitchen Magpie says

It’s a fancy members only club at Disney. Rumor has it that it’s 25K to join, then 10K a year to keep up your membership. Too rich for my blood!

I loved it as well! It’s was a nice place to go to get away from the crowds.

Oh that is sad! Always loved that little peaceful corner.
