Angels are singing, the Red Sea has parted, yada yada yada.

Isn’t it annoying when you knew about something that could make your life easier, yet didn’t purchase it before?

I knew about these Laptop Lunches since last year when my friend Melissa P -not to be confused with Melissa G or Melissa V- posted a few pictures of her concoctions for her son’s lunch last year. I admired, thought they were cute and that was it.

One a side note, I don’t quite know enough Melissa’s yet, not at all. And seriously, they even all RHYME.

Melissa’s  G….V….and P…

Ok, ok, back on subject.

I then suffered a year of trying to cram Rubbermaid containers into a square lunchkit that just didn’t fit. This would be last year.

So when she posted a link to a sale on these last week that Chapters was having, I knew right away that they were joining the family.

Lunch LOVE. We all want one now.

I hate plastic bags, Saran Wrap and cheap plastic containers. This is the solution.

Also important to me is that they contain NO phthalates, bisphenol A (BPA), or lead.

The beauty is that the lid of the box acts like one huge lid across all the containers. You can see that the one lid I put on the peaches since they would be a little more liquidy.

So tonight it fit a very large half a sunflower seed butter sandwich-homemade bread is so seriously large compared to store bought-a whole sliced peach, a mini cucumber sliced up and a handful of popcorn.

Today for lunch he had hummus, flatbread, olives and blackberries. They all fit so well into the containers, I wanted to cry with joy.

I bought the set that has the case that fits the accompanying water bottle beside it and a little mesh for notes. Or an ice pack.

So you snap on the lid, put it all in here, and you are finished.

The food truly does not move.

I shook it, I turned it upside down.

Gave it the “I’m a 6 year old who throws his backpack around” test.

It almost wept with fear, but the food stayed put.

Zip it up and your complete lunch, including a drink, is in here.

I can’t recommend it enough, I am in love with it. So easy to pack, completely waste free-there is even real cutlery that fit perfectly in the side- and minus all the plastic chemicals that seem to be in everything lately.

Now, go and google “Bento Boxes” and see all the crazy things people do.

Which you won’t catch me doing, because I simply don’t have the time. But it sure is amazing what people come up with!

Like these.

Or this.

Holy schmoly. It’s a freaking art form.
