Yes folks, it’s the Dirty Shirley – the sassy, alcoholic version (sort of) of the Shirley Temple. Using maraschino liqueur and cherry vodka, it’s an easy to drink cocktail that you are sure to love.

How to make a Dirty Shirley

This drink is pretty easy to make.. you’ll need cherry vodka, Luxardo maraschino liqueur, lemon-lime soda, and grenadine (learn how to make your own grenadine).

One important thing here is not to use a Boston Shaker, as it’ll flatten the pop. You want to stir the drink with a bar spoon lightly so as not to disperse the bubbles too much. Prepare your various ingredients using the measurements outlined in the recipe card below. Then, you’ll want to choose a nice-looking glass to serve it in and place 4-5 ice cubes into it. Pour in the vodka and the cherry liqueur. Top the drink with lemon lime soda and about a teaspoon of grenadine. Garnish with a cherry and serve!
