How to Make Root Beer Floats with Bourbon

To make this cocktail, you’ll need some vanilla ice cream, a 2 liter of root beer and a bottle of bourbon. To get started, combine the bourbon and root beer and give it a light stir (you don’t want to decarbonate the drink).

Which Root Beer to use?

This is up to your personal preference but if you want the best of the best, we highly recommend using A&W root beer. In my humble opinion, it’s the best one you can get and has the most flavor.

Now you’ll want to carefully add a scoop of ice cream. It will begin to foam up as soon as it’s added to the drink, so be prepared for this by adding a small scoop and ensuring there’s enough room in the glass before you add the ice cream. Now top with whip cream and a cherry (if desired) for the perfect dessert cocktail.

Other Delicious Bourbon Cocktails

Hopefully you’ll find this drink as delicious as I do. It’s a great cocktail with a little bit of a kick that hits nicely as a dessert as well!

Enjoy!
