Karlynn’s Recipe Notes

  • Skill Level: These turkey wings are super easy to make and so flavourful!
  • Total Time: You’ll need a bit more time to make these, as they will take about 2 hours.
  • Variations: If you’re looking for a crispier variation, you could try deep-frying to crisp up your turkey wings, enhancing their flavour and texture.
  • Tools for This Recipe: You will need a 9×13-inch baking dish to cook these wings and a mixing bowl to mix and season them. You will also need aluminum foil to cover the wings while baking.

What You’ll Need For Ingredients

Turkey Wings: Packed with rich, dark meat, turkey wings are often an afterthought—until you try these, that is.

Olive oil helps the spices stick to the wings. It’s also a super healthy addition to the recipe.

Chicken Broth: When poured over the wings, broth enhances the flavor of the meat and improves the rendering of the fat.

Turkey Seasoning: This is going to give you the flavour needed to make these truly fantastic wings.

Karlynn’s Tip: Instead of using a store-bought turkey seasoning, try making your own. It’s easier than you think and requires a list of ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. Bonus: You can make a large batch and store it in a reusable jar to have ready on hand. Find my recipe here.

Karlynn’s Tips and Tricks for the Perfect Baked Turkey Wings

  • How are these different from regular chicken wings? Unlike chicken wings, which turn crispy and fall apart in texture, turkey wings are more like regular turkey dark meat (in fact, they taste similar to thighs).
  • Why the broth? Adding a little bit of chicken or turkey broth to the bottom of the pan helps improve the flavor and encourages the fat to render.

Storage Instructions

Although they will best be served fresh, you can store baked turkey wings in an airtight container once cooled, in the fridge for 3-4 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
