I’ve talked before about how we are a gift card family. There are certain members that are incredibly hard to buy for and with Father’s Day coming up, that means TWO people.

Both my Dad and my husband are very hard to buy for. In fact, it’s been a long standing joke in my family that we have to give my Dad the receipt right in his gift so that he can go and return it. We’ve even been known to crack “So Dad, do you want me to come with you tomorrow to exchange it?” right after we’ve exchanged gifts on Christmas Day.

Dad comes with us on most of our long family trips. When my Mom was still working as a teacher, he came with us to the States twice, to visit Disneyland and San Francisco. We do everything together with my parents, but Dad has come on far more trips that my mom has since he retired before she did. There’s rarely a family vacation photo that doesn’t have my dad in it!

Even short family fishing trips, Dad is there with us. In fact, thanks to his hobbies he’s relatively easy to buy a gift card for now.

Bass Pro and we’re done. We have gifted him quite a few Bass Pro cards over the past few years and he’s built up his fishing gear collection quite nicely now!

The other Dad that is hard to buy for is Mike. He is notoriously picky and let’s face it, he’s a shopper. He LOVES to shop.

He’s also crazy and that’s why we love him.

Mike gets a lot of ITunes gift cards from us and he uses them almost instantly. My son might also beg Dad to purchase him little apps as well off his gift card and Mike being the good Dad that he is, almost always shares his giftcard with the kids for apps. You can see how this is a win-win situation for them 😉

IF you have Dads like I do to buy for, then gift cards are really the way to go. There are some amazing deals going on right now. You can get 15% off of a $50 ITunes card (nothing like free money basically!) and there are tons of Airmiles deals for the Airmiles fans!

Now, on to the best part for YOU! I have a $25 ITunes gift card to give away to one lucky reader! You can enter below!

Good luck everyone!

I most find it difficult to shop for myself. So many things to choose from!

My husband and dad are both hard to shop for because they never really seem to want or need anything.
