A Christmas in November "Edmonton Prize Pack" Giveaway!

Do you know that feeling when you get to check an item off your Bucket List? That giddy, heady, swirly-butterflies-in-the-stomach joy that encompasses you from head to toe?  I just spent three entire days feeling that like and it wasn’t just the wine and good food that did it.

This past weekend I was able to attend the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge’s famous Christmas in November as a guest blogger for the Fairmont. Christmas in November has been on my Bucket List for as long as I have know about the event and to be hosted by the Fairmont was a literal dream come true.

I felt like Cinderella at the ball, minus that glass slipper that gave her such a hard time.

I ate. I tweeted. I ate some more. I instagrammed my little heart out. Did I mention the wine? I met food celebrities that I have adored from afar. I spoke to Anna Olson (twice!!) and tried not to fangirl too hard. It didn’t work, since I absolutely love the lady.  Chef Corbin Tomaszeski came over and gave me a hug and asked how my night was going, just because I was randomly standing in the right place at the right time.

As I was thinking of how on earth I was going to write the words to convey the sheer magnitude of what this trip meant to me, I realized that the only way to start was by giving back.

So I feel like I am starting my recap of my adventures at Christmas in November backwards but on second thought, perhaps this is the way that I should always start things out. It’s time to give something back to you, because without all of you, I wouldn’t be able to do the amazing things that I do.

When it came time to decide what to give away, I knew right away what it was going to be. I was so darn proud of all the Edmonton businesses that represented us SO well at this year’s Christmas in November. I am always bursting-at-the-seams proud that I live in Edmonton and am amazed at how we are becoming such an innovative city when it comes to culinary talent.

And thus the Christmas in November Edmonton Prize Pack Giveaway was born!

I have for one lucky winner:

A $50 gift card to Rostizado, the hottest new place in Edmonton to eat.

A $50 gift card to Rge Rd, a famous culinary delight here in Edmonton

A Christmas Sampler pack of chocolate from Jaeck Chocolates, valued  approx. $45.

Want a couple of delicious sneak peeks at what awaits the winners?

This at Rostizado. The platter for two. It is literally one of Mike’s and my favorite date meals. SO good.
