Boxes of Polysporin Eczema Essentials

Food blogger hands.  Oh, if you are a food writer/blogger for living you know exactly what I am talking about.

Alligator hands. Crocodile digits. Horrible, horrible dry skin in the winter time.

While not only people who have their hands in sinks/under taps all day are affected, it surely is a sign of Canadian winter when your hands crack up.

When the opportunity came to try the new line of Polysporin Eczema Essentials I jumped on board. I get offers to write about all sorts of things all year-long and rarely do I have any interest in anything like this. I mean, who wants to write about creams and soap?

This time was different. I almost begged them to send me the products, seriously.

I have the most horrible hands in the winter time.

As much I as like to claim that I don’t wash dishes, my hands are in the sink all day long.

Not only that, because I prep food and am a hygiene freakazoid, I wash my hands all day long. If I counted the times I washed my hands, it might number in the high twenties. Thirties even, depending how many recipes I make that day and if I am out in public.

I can barely keep my hands presentable, never mind fully healed up. My hands get so bad that I have to use hydrocortisone cream on them every once in a while to heal them up. We aren’t talking dry skin here folks, we are talking cracks. I don’t want to expand LOL but I am sure there are many of you out there who have the same problem. It’s so bad that you have to turn to using cortisone cream as a last resort.

The Polypsorin worked like a charm and healed up my hands quite nicely over the course of a few days. Mike has been using the wash on his beard which has worked like a charm, so for men with sensitive beards, that is a seriously fabulous product. I never thought about it before, but I guess men have to wash their beards somehow LOL! And shampoo is so hard on your face, according to Mike. (Um, I’m really glad I’m a girl.)

So anyone else out there get dish-pan hands beyond measure? These Canadian winters take a huge toll on your skin?

Love,

Karlynn

Not a blogger, more a hobby baker, experimentalist LOL. My hands are horrible – so bad they snag fabric :-/. I don’t need a scraper for my icy windows, just my bare hands hahaha. Tried wearing gloves, but I need to be able to touch things. With my hands in and out of water 1000x/day, I forget (aka can’t be bothered) to put them on, take them off.

Anyhew, thanks for the review, I will definitely have to try this out.

Good to know, I’ll have to get some! I’m not any type of blogger and my hands are still awful from our brutal winter. 🙁
