Apple Pie Pancakes

Delicious pancakes with shredded apples and spices.

Serves: 4
  • ¾ cup of white flour
  • ¾ cup of whole wheat flour
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1½ cups of milk
  • ⅛ of a cup of melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup of shredded apple
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp cloves
  1. Whisk together your dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. In another bowl, mix the egg,milk, vanilla and apples all together. If you haven’t already, get your griddle preheating at this point.
  3. Make a well into the dry ingredients and pour the wet mixture in. Mix them together until they are just combined and they are ready to go!
  4. These pancakes do take a little work to be spread out to cook, but it’s worth it in the end. They will bubble a little bit on top like normal pancakes, but that’s not how you can tell they are done. Watch for the edges to look cooked, and then that’s when to flip.
