I had the pleasure today of going on a fieldtrip with my daughter’s preschool class to the Muttart Conservatory here in Edmonton. And with our heinous, out-of-control deep freeze that we had going on weather-wise this past week, visiting a place full of green plants and lush, earthy smells was tops on my list. Unfortunately, thanks to my nasty cold, I couldn’t smell a dang thing, but I was so glad to get out there with my camera and my daughter after the class left.

There was no time for photography until the little twerps went home. Can we say ohmygawdthankgodIonlyhaveone3yearold?

Everything was done up beautifully for Christmas, of course, and it never fails to disappoint. If you only go once a year, then this is the time to go. Ok, I lied, the grounds around the conservatory are amazing in the summer too. So maybe go twice a year?

So here are a few glimpses of what you would see….
