Seven Layer Bars

Thanks to my cookbook give away the other week, I discovered in the comments another kind of bar/dainty that I would like to try. And as per usual, I put my own twist on it, which is very easy to do with 7 layer bars, you can invent the layers as you go and to your taste. I used dark and white chocolate and the results were mouthwateringly good. This was so rich and delectable, and so … [Read more...]

The Best Brownies AKA Chocolate Chewy Wonders

brownies_512x384

Ever since I made delicious, chewy brownies and promptly lost the recipe for them, I have been searching for a recipe that creates the same chewy-riffic, chocolate bliss that I once experienced. I will put up another post where everyone can comment in order to win a copy. Ingredients Bottom Layer 1/2 cup … [Read more...]

Mincemeat Tarts. In August.

m10_512x3841

Yes, mincemeat tarts in August. To make a long story even longer, because that is what I do best while blogging,  my dearest husband found my frozen jar of mincemeat in the freezer, and starting getting ideas. The kind of idea that always involve me in the kitchen, in an apron, cooking. Fully clothed. Hey, what kinda girl do you take me for?  On second thought, don't answer that question. … [Read more...]
